The Pyramids of Giza are the oldest known surviving buildings of mankind. The pyramids are located about 15 km from the town centre of Cairo, and approximately 8 km south of the city of Giza. They can be found on the western edge of the Nile Valley, directly on the valley of the pyramids. They are the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World which survives today.
