The Metronom Theater is the musicals arena in Oberhausen Neue Mitte. The theatre was built in the shape of an arena in 1999 at a cost of 30 million Euros. It has 1,800 seats. The venue was built especially for the musical Tabaluga & Lilli by Peter Maffay. The roof resembles a scorpion fish.
