Oberhausen’s Gasometer is an industrial monument and exhibition venue. It is situated in Oberhausen Neue Mitte. With its imposing size, the former gas holder is a landmark for Oberhausen and the entire Ruhr area. The Gasometer is an anchor point for the “Industrial Heritage Trail” and the “European Route of Industrial Heritage” (ERIH).
