Spain is a country in Europe. To the northeast, along the Pyrenees mountain range, Spain borders France and the small state of Andorra. It occupies the largest part of the Iberian Peninsula. The capital is Madrid. The highest peak is Teide on Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands. The highest mountain on the mainland is the Mulhacén, located in Andalusia in the Sierra Nevada in the province of Granada.
