Australia is a continent in the southern hemisphere of the earth. It is also the sixth largest country in the world. Australia is located northwest of New Zealand and south of the Indonesia- East Timor, West New Guinea and Papua New Guinea. The country of Australia includes the main land of continental Australia, the island of Tasmania off the coast, as well as some smaller islands.
